Ingredients:
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 or 2 vanilla beans
Step 1: Put 1 cup of water into a pan and heat it on the stove
Step 2: Once the water starts to boil, add 1 cup of sugar and stir until all of the sugar is combined
Step 3: Reduce the heat to low, split vanilla bean in half then scrape vanilla seeds into the sugar and water mixture. Add the empty bean and then simmer on low for 10-20 minutes
Step 4: Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool for 15 minutes
Step 5: Pour the syrup through a strainer into a sterile airtight container
Step 6: Store your vanilla syrup in the fridge for up to 1 month
